Kind of Like… a love song

KIND OF LIKE

Kind of like walking on the water

Kind of like dancing in the rain

Kind of like your head up in the clouds

Kind of like blocking out the pain

Kind of like staying out til midnight

Kind of like having that first kiss

Kind of like Friday afternoon

When all we want to do is this

And I know I like the feeling

When you look at me that way

It gets my heart to beating

And it makes me want to say

You set my world on fire

With that pretty little grin

As I wrap my arms around you

Breathing out and breathing in

(Slow the tempo for the next two lines)

I don’t know where to start….

I just know you own my heart…..

Kind of like the laughter of a baby

And the way it makes you smile

Kind of like pushing through the ribbon

On that last and final mile

Kind of like singing in the shower

When there’s no one else around

Kind of like holding hands and touching

When you know that love is found

And I know I like the feeling

When you look at me that way

It gets my heart to beating

And it makes me want to say

You set my world on fire

With that pretty little grin

As I wrap my arms around you

Breathing out and breathing in

(Slow the tempo for the next two lines)

I don’t know where to start….

I just know you own my heart…..

Kind of like lying on a beach towel

As the waves crash to the shore

Kind of like long, lazy day weekends

Kind of like three days maybe four

And I know I like the feeling

When you look at me that way

It gets my heart to beating

And it makes me want to say

You set my world on fire

With that pretty little grin

As I wrap my arms around you

Breathing out and breathing in

(Slow the tempo for the next two lines)

I don’t know where to start….

I just know you own my heart…..

Kind of like that!
