Guarded Words…a poem

GUARDED WORDS

Tread softly with your whisper.

Be gentle with your voice.

A breeze becomes a hurricane,

And in your words, you have a choice.

Do strings control the puppets?

Is there nothing they can do?

Within us is a candle.

Is your light shining true?

Loose bricks weaken the structure.

As do words when spake in hate.

Grow strong through humbled nature.

Never destroy!  Only create!

Give notice to your demons.

Remove their arrogance from speech.

Maintain the good within, always.

It is forever within reach.
