Lift Me and Fly… a Christian song

LIFT ME AND FLY

I heard the sound,

And I went running out the door.

To the loudest, most amazing,

Trumpets, blazing in a roar.

Then and there I dropped down upon my knees.

Giving thanks to God for all I have,

And praising angel’s wings…

Lift me and fly….

Lift me on high…

Let me be the one to shine for You,

Let me be a light.

Fisher of men…

Forgiving sin…

Bringing all of those,

Poor lost souls,

And helping them get in.

Lift me and fly…

I heard the sweetest voice singing from my heart.

Telling me to go and gather up,

The flock that fell apart.

Witness to the greatest day of all.

Hoping that they see in me,

The light before they fall.

Lift me and fly….

Lift me on high…

Let me be the one to shine for You,

Let me be a light.

Fisher of men…

Forgiving sin…

Bringing all of those,

Poor lost souls,

And helping them get in.

Lift me and fly…

All the children they are gathering…

The least of us on angel’s wings…

The poor, the sinners, rushing up…

To taste the glory poured for us.

Breaking loose from all the bonds…

Nothing left, but praise and songs…

Heads are bowed, hands lifted up…

Where bonds are broken now there’s love…

AND – WE ALL – SING – AS – ONE…

Lift me and fly….

Lift me on high…

Let me be the one to shine for You,

Let me be a light.

Fisher of men…

Forgiving sin…

Bringing all of those,

Poor lost souls,

And helping them get in.

Lift me and fly…

Lift me and fly…

Lift me and fly…

Lift me and fly…

Lift me and fly-fly-fly…

Lift me and fly…

I heard the sound,

And I went running out the door.

To the loudest, most amazing,

Trumpets, blazing in a roar.
