RUNES

The runes of my depression

Lead me straight into the darkness

Scripted words are not my own

I wish that they would go away.

Everywhere I turn

Another word, another letter,

Another symbol of illusion

Casting shadows on my day.

Please, please, please,

Come and find me.

Please, please, please,

Reach out your hand.

Please, please, please,

Erase the troubles

Of this heavy-laden man.

These signs are blurring my perception.

These runes they prickle in my brain.

Please, please, please,

Can you help me?

Before I go insane…

Oh-oh-oh, please?

Oh-oh-oh, please!

Is that the sun on the horizon?

Is this ending of the day?

Where did the time run off and hide?

And did the children get to play?

In my mind’s eye – imagination.

Enchantments written on the walls.

Will there be a consolation,

For this man before he falls?

Please, please, please,

Come and find me.

Please, please, please,

Reach out your hand.

Please, please, please,

Erase the troubles

Of a heavy-laden man.

These signs are blurring my perception.

These runes they prickle in my brain.

Please, please, please,

Can you help me?

Before I go insane…

Oh-oh-oh, please?

Oh-oh-oh, please!

I am caught and I am falling

Into a cesspool of confusion.

Who and what and where can I

Find my way back home.

Is there still time to make amends,

Before my heart and mind explode,

And will I get to say goodbye

Before my time is at the end.

Depressing runes…

Please, please, please,

Come and find me.

Please, please, please,

Reach out your hand.

Please, please, please,

Erase the troubles

Of a heavy-laden man.

These signs are blurring my perception.

These runes they prickle in my brain.

Please, please, please,

Can you help me?

Before I go insane…

Oh-oh-oh, please?

Oh-oh-oh, please!
