CYCLES
The sun did rise,
But then slipped away.
My eyes wandered toward the sky.
As dusk closed in – an ominous sign.
And the day – it said goodbye.
Slowly, the stars come out to dance
While moonbeams decreed new light.
To slumber are those who played in the sun
But not, the creatures of the night.
Awakened, to hunt, and kill and eat,
And chase as their brethren of day.
Brisk is the air as their lungs are filled
Lowly, the lowly – the prey.
The cycle continues
And then comes the morn.
As nocturnal eyes close in sleep.
It’s dawn on the rise
Eternal the sun
A new day is claimed for the reap.

Thank you! You are spot in about the night. Less light.. less spies with eyes to see!
