HUBRIS

In consequence did I fall to earth

To lay shattered into spheres

Broken wings cannot fly

Broken dreams

Broken tears

Image result for feathers

Once I danced below the stars

While destiny bid her time

Chances taken now regretted

Broken heart

Broken mind

Drifting without fear or care

While others envied, lowly

Tempest stricken for my vanity

Broken finally

Broken slowly
