Deceptively, beautiful scripts of the hand
A treat for the eye
From a talented man
__________
Imperfect and perfect for all to see
Alive on the pages
Of what could be
__________
The Calligrapher’s carrousel displayed in a dance
Talented fingers
Pirouette at the chance
__________
Steady and true to the old dying art
How it plays to our senses
Like it did at the start
_________
But time is not friendly in this age of men
As the carrousel stops
And the page finds its end
I love this, Keith. Wonderful use of carousel!

I love this! I dabble in poetry and love haiku and sonnets. Here is the link to a poem I wrote just before Halloween. I hope you enjoy it!

I love it! Clever! You should “dabble” more in poetry…

Like you, I am awed by God’s sense of humor, with the things He shares with me to post. Here is a recent haiku
White crystalline flakes
Gently descending toward earth
My shovel hates them

I live in the heart of the Colorado Rockies and we have some 5 foot fence posts that are completely buried under snow! We are going to have one heck of a mud season!
