es·o·ter·ic
/ˌesəˈterik/
adjective
intended for or likely to be understood by only a small number of people with a specialized knowledge or interest.
Some will bite onto the lead-line while others toss a portion of the net over their shoulder. Some of the net is kept in one hand while a greater portion is held in the other, and then, the hands slide along that portion of it to bring the hands closer together. In this, one is then ready to rock the net backwards in an arch and then quickly forward with a twisting spiral motion, thus causing the net to spin open to its maximum diameter before hitting the water and sinking. I speak of this esoterically, of course!

Sounds like a hukilau . . .
