A small remnant of fear holds me
Yet in my dreams I can see the light
Solace stands within my grasp
But I close my eyes afraid to fight
###############
What shadow is this that accosts me
As I near the end of my days
Whirlwind memories cast their spells
And pierce me through the haze
###############
Bravely, or perhaps cautiously
I steady my faltering breath
Alas, the time is finally here
And I face the face of death
Good afternoon, loved the poem, i can feel every single word🤗
