LAUNCH… a poem

black sailing boat digital wallpaper

The sea called

The lanterns were lit

As the sails filled with the crisp night wind

A journey begun

Into the unknown

One book closed as another begins

baby sitting on bridge

First, we crawl

Then, we walk

As the world opens to our delight

Mother and father

Watch as we go

When our day transitions to night

woman carrying baby near man

Beginning, afresh

Foundation is firm

With each step new adventures begin

When soon we find

What we left behind

Repeats when the next boat comes in

  1. Hey Kevin! Totally love your blog! In a class of its own! πŸ˜ƒπŸ‘πŸ˜ƒπŸ‘πŸ˜ƒπŸ‘

By the way, I nominated you earlier for the SUNSHINE BLOGGER AWARD! Thanks for adding sunshine to my life! β˜€οΈβ€οΈπŸŒ»

  2. Is this to celebrate the “LAUNCH!” of your new book? Also, I tried clicking on the article about the book launch but it didn’t work. If you took it down, that’s fine, but I wanted you to know it was inaccessible, in case you did think it was working.

    1. Ha… Coincidence on the name of this poem, I pre-posted it last week, and the book..
I pulled the book launch off of Facebook so that my mom wouldn’t see it, as she is getting the first copy sometime today. Spoilers… So, let me check this out on WP. Thanks for the heads up!
