While I ponder the pages
Piqued and persuaded
To go just a little bit more
It is there that I find
In the corners of my mind
What my life has been longing for
Tucked away neatly
Not wrapped with a bow
Was solace, alive and well
Patiently waiting
For me to discover
Then go out in the world and tell
Tell of the truth
Of kindness and love
Embracing the differences, we see
A lesson so old
Again, to be told
By a simple man like me
Everyone needs a little solace, personally, I can’t get enough of it…

Great poem Kevin. For me it describes the creative tension between prayer/meditation and action. We seek prayer to get away from the world, but prayer leads us back into the world to do our part.

So very true! When we are tuned into God the whispers become shouts! ;-)))

“Again to be told” – sucks that people are so bad at learning!
