We all need… a song

THE COLD

Caught out in the cold again

Lost and all alone my friend

Isn’t there a heart to take me in

Looking for the nearest flame

Hoping just to ease the pain

And frozen to the core should be a sin

Who will notice if I die

When no one knows that I’m alive

Maybe I would be much better off

In a world of a world for a world

Isn’t what we’re taught

Don’t you know that I can see

The way that you look down on me

Life you know was not always this way

Looking back over the years

Did I do the same and cause the tears

Just like the ones now running down my face

And I say…..

Who will notice if I die

No one knows that I’m alive

Maybe I would be much better off

In a world of a world for a world

Isn’t what we’re taught

Trembling taking my last breath

Accepting not accepted yet

That maybe I will finally find my peace

Then I feel a hand on me

An angel’s touch and eyes that see

Helping me get back upon my feet

Then they say…..

I will notice if you die

I can see that you’re alive

And, no, you would be better off

In a world of a world for a world

This is what we’re taught

In a world of a world for a world

This is what we’re taught

Caught out in the cold again

Lost and all alone my friend

Isn’t there a heart to take me in

Man struggles… a poem

THE FIGHT

Cast me away in darkness into the gnashing of teeth

For I am not worthy to carry the souls of these shoes less the weight which they bare

The road is too long and too steep to tread

The depressions upon it are like those that have burrowed into my heart

Scars, like pockmarks, hardened and numb, encumber me

Silhouettes of shadow dance and traverse what is real and what is imagined in my mind

I wretch at the inhumanity of it

It depletes the final reserves of what keeps me sane – human

High above is the place of solace for my soul, yet here am I

Lowly drifting in a sea of consummation and transgression

Drowning with each attempted breath

Beelzebub delights with my every struggle as I purge goodness for his hate

The irritant to humanity guffaws his pleasure

The taste of metal tingles on my tongue – his grip tightens

Cast away these chains

Cast away this horror of disconnectedness to the only One who can save me

My spirit makes a final plea with repentance, humility and truth

Save me my sweet and precious Lord

Save me from myself

Save me, for I give myself wholeheartedly to You in Christ Jesus

Save me

I am Yours

Remember and praise… a short Christian song

I WILL REMAIN

Take my hand precious Jesus

Take me up into your Kingdom

Take me home to see my Father

And Spirit with the Son

Make me whole with Your glory

Make me whole with Your life

Make me whole with Your truth

And the Father by your side, oh, oh, oh-oh…

Yes Your Kingdom will be known…

Glorified in the water

Moved aside the prison stone

Where two are gathered in My name…

Blessed children I am with you

In your heart I will remain

I will remain…

There are shadows all around us

There is evil in our midst

There is so much isolation

How can we coexist

Just remember that He loves you

Just remember call His name

Just remember He’s a prayer away

Display your faith don’t refrain

Yes Your Kingdom will be known…

Glorified in the water

Moved aside the prison stone

Where two are gathered in My name…

Blessed children I am with you

In your heart I will remain

Yes Your Kingdom will be known…

Glorified in the water

Moved aside the prison stone

Where two are gathered in My name…

Blessed children I am with you

In your heart I will remain

I will remain oh-oh…

I will remain mmm-mmm…

I will remain…..

Friendship – a short song

LET’S DO IT AGAIN…MY FRIEND

Let’s do it again…my friend…let’s do it again

Let’s make some memories…that will never end

Let’s reach for the stars at night…

Let’s sail on the sea…

Let’s do it again…my friend… Let’s set our hearts free

Don’t think life is overrated

It’s there to carry us through

Misunderstood so complicated

Without life

Without you

Pumpkin seeds to Cinderella

Magic in a pair of glass shoes

How did the prince finally find his princess

He followed his heart

Follow yours too…

Let’s do it again…my  friend…let’s do it again

Let’s make some memories…that will never end

Let’s reach for the stars at night…

Let’s sail on the sea…

Let’s do it again…my friend… Let’s set our hearts free

Time it is a curious thing

I love you – scrawled in the sand

The end of our days are getting nearer

If you reach for me

I’ll take your hand

Let’s do it again…my friend…let’s do it again

Let’s make some memories…that will never end

Let’s reach for the stars at night…

Let’s sail on the sea…

Let’s do it again…my friend… Let’s set our hearts free

For the Harold Robinson family…a poem of rest…I love you all!

WHISPER

Lean in close so I can whisper in your ear

Cordon off the world – these words you need to hear

Are you listening to what I have to say

Do you feel the subtle nudges that I give you everyday

Colors of a rainbow are so beautiful

A canvas painted pallet in the sky

Surely you know heaven – will always shine on you

A promise made for all when I died

Be still – be patient – I will take away your pain

Come to Me in prayer and I will glorify your name

Let Me be your alibi when another comes to call

Before Me lay your burdens – Before Me one and all

Trust what you are feeling in your heart

Never will I leave you – never will I part

Walk with Me each and every day

Just talk with Me, your Father – when you bow your head and pray

Remember long ago up on that hill

Nailed there to a cross – they couldn’t break My will

I am still here before you – need only say My name

Time will pass you by – but I will never change

Bring to Me My children one and all

Those impoverished and forgotten – the sinners and the lost

For in My eyes their image is so clear

A portrait of Myself – I made them without tears

This life on earth will slip by in a blink

My sacrifice of body – My blood for all to drink

Partake in this and you will find your peace

Now rest My child – it’s time for you to sleep

A quick, funny story…

THE WALK

On a walk through the woods one beautiful, sunny, Spring day I grew weary and decided to sit down.  Gazing around I discover a rather large log that must have once been a very impressive tree.  Sitting down on it and peering around my eyes were drawn to movement.  There in the shade of the trees with tiny beams of sunlight dancing about was a little fox.  I sat in wonder at this cute little creature of nature.  He sauntered along without a care, or so it seemed to this riveted observer.  Then, he stopped in his tracks.  Head up and sniffing the air his ears at attention he looked in my direction.  I must admit it was a little daunting having a wild animal of the wood so close staring at me, but then the most remarkable thing occurred.  He cocked his head in an inquisitive fashion, turned towards me, and began to walk my way.  Now, knowing this is a wild animal and not a domestic canine I began to run through the options of how to react.  It was all moot as I didn’t move a muscle.

The young fox with its stunning red color and keen look walked to within three feet of me and sat down on his haunches.

“Hello” he said.

“Hi” I replied without hesitation.

He continued… “It’s a beautiful day for a walk, huh?”

“Yes” was all I could muster.  He must have thought me a half-wit or something as once again he cocked his head quizzically to one side then the other and I swear as I tell this story he smiled.

“So…what brings you out into my neck of the woods?  Just out for a casual stroll or are you hiking?”

“I’m just out walking around with no particular goal in mind other than enjoying nature!”

Then, much to my own surprise, I slid off the log and sat on the ground so that we could look more squarely at one another.

“Are you alone, or do you have family or friends with you?” I asked!

“I’m just out killing time until dinner.  It gets pretty boring sleeping all day in the family den.  By the way… what’s wrong with your mouth?” he asked.

“Huh?  What?  What’s going on?  Who are you?”

“I’m the dentist and your wisdom teeth have been extracted.  You may be a little confused from the gas, but you’ll be fine after a bit.”

The End

Bliss in life… a poem

BLISS

As golden as sunshine

As gentle as rain

As smooth as Sinatra when he sang

Beautiful valleys

Beautiful trees

Beautiful butterflies that float on the breeze

Fresh as the dew on a Springtime morn

Fresh as a baby’s tears when born

Kindling to fire that begins with a spark

Kindling to love that grows from the heart

Blush in form of sweet, sweet wine

Blush as the bride when two hearts combine

Waves that lap upon sugar white sands

Waves at home when soldier lands

Kissed by the sun that sets on its flight

Kissed by your mom when she says goodnight

Delightful the children in the park that play

Delightful the cuddling at the end of the day

Surely you see our true God in all this

Surely your soul is alive with the bliss
