Hi everyone!  Well, I was nominated for my very first Sunshine Blogger Award by my new and very kind fellow blogger, Stuart L Tutt.

Please stop by Stu’s page and follow him and see what he’s been up to!  Stu speaks from the heart and has a God-given grace for giving back.  Thank you for nominating me, Stu!

Here is the website for Sunshine Blogger Award by Melissa Mclaughlin.

If I nominated you, and you don’t have or want to take the time to participate then that is perfectly okay.  We are all very busy!  Kev

Here are the rules:

  • Thank the blogger who nominated you and link to their blog.
  • Answer the 11 questions that were presented to you by your nominator.
  • Nominate 11 bloggers.
  • Ask 11 questions.
  • List the rules.
  • Display the Sunshine Blogger logo in your post or blog site.

The questions to me…

1. John from Eclectic Contrarian did a cool tag not too long ago highlighting his top commenters. Who are your top five commenters on your blog?

2. Do you feel sad, upset, meh, or happy over losing followers?

To be honest… I don’t know if I’ve lost any followers or not.  I guess I would feel bad if I inadvertently offended someone and they stopped following me.  I would want to apologize immediately!

3. What is your greatest strength?

My love for God and family… My sense of humor too!  Just sayin’

4. What is your greatest weakness?

I have very little discernment, and it has cost me a lot over my lifetime.

5. What was your favorite book as a child or teen?

Johnathan Livinston Seagull

6. What is your greatest fear?

Losing one of my children or a grandchild.

7. Are you one of those bubbly morning peeps or a leave me alone till I wake up peep?

Hmmm… I won’t say bubbly, but closer to bubbly than not!  It depends on what’s happening.

8. How has blogging helped you in life’s journey?

Great question!  Blogging has allowed me to admit to myself that I can consider myself a writer and actually use the word “write” rather than deflecting.

9. What is your goal as a Blogger?

I want my words to deeply touch someone. I want to make them cry tears of joy, of laughter or bring back a memory that just makes them smile… I hope to publish someday, too!

10. What bumper sticker has made you laugh so hard you almost had to pull off the road?

11. What is the craziest name of a church you have ever heard?

Your’s was really good, Stu!  I’ll go with the obvious:

Q&A Tag

This was an interesting and fun little exercise that a fellow blogger tagged me for, so I chose to participate and tag three others.  Please be sure to visit their page if you have the chance.  Each of these writers are unique and talented in very different ways.  All the best!  Kev

Here are the rules:

1.Answer the questions you receive (straight, funny, absurd, up to you)

2.Add three more questions of your own to the list

3.Tag three people

I have been asked the following:

1. Two part question- Where were you on Sept 11, 2001? Do you remember the feeling of such fear?

Answer: On that aweful day I was in a hotel in Birmingham, Alabama preparing to make a sales call at a hospital.  I walked downstairs to grab a bite for breakfast when I noticed the events unfolding on the television.  After watching for several minutes I went back to my room and stayed glued to the television for hours.

I noticed my jaws were hurting as I had unknowingly been clenching my teeth.  The feelings I had were surreal.  I could almost taste the sense of loss and I felt completely and totally helpless.  Horrible times…

2. Where would you like to see yourself 10 years from now?

Answer: Retired!  Seriously!  I was just speaking with my precious wife yesterday about how much time I will spend writing once I’m home all the time.  Well, except when I’m out fishing or golfing or whatever.

3. Do you support the idea of Santa Clause? Do you think Christian parents should or should not allow their children to believe in Santa?

Answer: I do support the idea of Santa Clause!  I enjoyed it as a child and I raised my children the same way.  It is a tradition that I hope we never lose.  My granddaughter (3yr old) loves Santa, too!

I believe, as a Christian, that Santa can be used in multiple ways in teaching our children many lessons.  From behavior patterns with rewards and consequences to giving and sharing.

My quesions:

  1. If you were given $1,000,000.00 what would you do with it?
  2. If you were given an all expense paid trip for 30 days to anywhere in the world where would you go and why?
  3. Living or deceased who would you like to sit and have a long discussion with and why?

I nominate:

  1. Jenna Gee
  2. Ann Marie Bryant
  3. Stuart L Tutt

I look forward to reading your responses.  Thank you!
