Then one day…
Out of the blue…
A rush of warmth and release was born.
He found forgiveness!
Poetry, lyrics and other words…
Then one day…
Out of the blue…
A rush of warmth and release was born.
He found forgiveness!
Rejoice the small wins.
As with life,
Time will bring
Larger rewards...
Broken to a point of desperation
Downtrodden, heavy-hearted, lost
Burdens greater than ever before
Torment and anxiety the cost
Guilt has a way of teaching us
Which road to take, it’s true
Travel down the path where the heart leads
Or suffer the consequences within you
Always lend a helping hand

The best reward we experience is found when it’s shared

Your limitations are invitations to move in the direction of your strengths

You’ve hurt me
You’ve humiliated me
You’ve disappointed me
You’ve made me cry
You’ve broken my heart
You’ve broken my spirit
You’ve caused me guilt I cannot deny
You’ve looked at me with contempt, sometimes
You’ve proffered words of poor advice
But I forgive and love you
No matter what
As I see you in the mirror
Looking back into my eyes
How difficult does your road have to be
Is it filled with potholes
Or as smooth as the sea
Is it scattered with pebbles
And filled with cracks
Are there mountains or molehills
Or well-worn down tracks
Is it uphill or down
Which way do you go
Do you have a destination
Are you stuck in the snow
Is your path blocked by a rock slide
Or fallen down tree
What gets in your way
When you’re trying to see
Do you look for specs
In another one’s eye
When the log in your own
Could cause you to die
Take care on your travels
For they lead to the past
Find the smooth road ahead
Because it all goes too fast
And so,
I meander down the mountainside
Into the valley that would test the resolve of my fear.
No, I have no time for plunder this time around
My journey is a deeper one than that.
While I’ve hidden away upon the mountain,
While I’ve terrorized those, who trespassed upon my land,
I find my ill-sodden soul too heavy to bear the fruits I’ve sown.
Alas, I seek my final resting place among strangers.
God help me!
The view master found its protagonist. He was draped in a myriad of colors, and was chasing around and around. Just a sliding shuffle and click away from another heroic scene. What adventure awaits? Who would become the antagonist to this adventurous soul? Ah, but isn’t that what the wheel of fate has in store for each of us. We spin and shuffle through life hoping to load the next adventure and scene that will be better than the last.
Stop! Get out of the loop and live. We only have so many spins in this life, and it seems the more that pass the faster we go through the next set. Just a thought…
