WHERE I AM… a song

man holding card with seeking human kindness text

I now know that my God loves me

Because he sent you here to free me

You’re the only one to see me where I am

People passing by turn from me

Walking quickly to avoid me

Never ever recognizing where I am

But there is hope on my horizon

Just as sure as the sun is rising

And now I know that there is hope for one more day

(Chorus)

See me, oh see me

Wrap your arms around me

Hold me close to let me know that I’m okay

Free me, oh free me

From the world that never sees me

Help me get back upon my feet and walk away

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
When you hit bottom that is all
You find there’s no safe place to fall
So, you just close your eyes and pray that it will end
Losing all hope is way too easy
Can’t I find someone to see me
To open up my eyes and search the world again…
They say there’s love that’s all around us
But I can’t seem to find it here
How do I look through heavy laden eyes of pain
There was a time that I was strong
But now that time is so long gone
Brother won’t you help me find my way again
(Repeat chorus)
See me, oh see me
Wrap your arms around me
Hold me close to let me know that I’m okay
Free me, oh free me
From the world that never sees me
Help me get back upon my feet and walk away
Help me get back upon my feet and walk away
EYES OF WATERFALLS… a song
Image result for man crying in the rain
As I stand here in the rain
I can’t tell
What were tears and what were raindrops
When they fell
And the puddle that is growing
‘round my feet
Will find a hole in my soul
When they meet
silhouette of person standing on sea dock under cloudy sky
Please don’t talk about horizons
And of time
There is too much going on, now
In my mind
As these ashes of her spill upon the wind
Into the ocean of this sadness
And the end
I remember when we met
On that playground
For both of us love at first sight
I know, profound
Well, the years drew us closer
As they passed
And then the vows that we exchanged
Had come at last
man wearing black jacket
But fate had written heartache
All along
Crashing down the world around me
With this song
All my dreams and all my hopes
Were trampled down
Now, in these eyes of waterfalls
Is where I’m found
Humanity… a poem
Little old Fiddlebrock Simpsonstien
Wondered the streets alone
He was a simple and quiet old man
His features like toppling stone
No one could understand him
When words did escape his lips
While some would laugh and tilt their heads
Others laid hands on hips
With head hung low like the setting sun
Fiddlebrock heads for home
An appliance box with newspaper floor
Keeps him warm from the fresh falling snow
The Last Song… a poem/song
You’re a damaged song
All your lyrics are wrong
How did you get this way?
Where is the child
That was carefree and wild?
What happened that dreadful day?
Alas I can see
The image is me
No music left in my soul.
A strumming of time
Without rhythm or rhyme
Has finally taken its toll.
Where once was an opus
Of treble clef notes
And bass that rippled the air.
Are now broken tones
Solitary, old bones
Displayed on a sheet of despair.
Someday, when I get home
I’ll kiss your lips with unbridled passion
Someday, when I get home
I’ll hold you close and feel your warmth
Someday, when I get home
I’ll whisper, “I love you” into your ear
Someday, when I get home
We’ll take long walks and hold each other’s hands
Someday, when I get home
We’ll fall asleep while watching the stars
Someday, when I get home
You’ll wake to see my smile
Someday, when I get home
We’ll plan our life and our future
Someday, if I get home
I promise I’ll never leave you again
Someday…
