Calypso and Odysseus… a poem

Calypso, what a flower

Held on tight for seven years

Poor Odysseus, laud the hours

Island bound

A trail of tears

Ebbed the tidings

Sing-song liar

Poseidon’s rage

Condemned the seas

Ino’s veil

Ensures the rescue

And finds Odysseus

Homebound and free
